lusitanicus Astragalus (Fabaceae) Garbancillo popularly named for its resemblance to plant the beans, but is despised by cattle being toxic.
is a plant typical of oaks and cork on dry slopes from 300 to 1500 meters SW of the peninsula and northwestern Africa. This plant, slightly nitrophilous, can reach one meter high and according to some botanists (Aparicio, Silvestre. 1996) is rare in the Park of Grazalema.
We observed during our tour in January (2011) a population about to bloom, with some individuals showing off their beautiful clusters en la ladera Sur de la Sierra del Labradillo, detrĂ¡s del cortijo de Vadihuelo.
